Air Astana Adds Another Airbus A321neo to Its Fleet

Kazakhstan’s flag carrier, Air Astana, has added an Airbus A321neo, registered as EI-KDL, to its fleet. The GTF-powered aircraft arrived at the airline’s main hub in Almaty on October 19.

With this latest delivery, Air Astana’s mainline fleet has grown to 36 aircraft, while the total fleet of the Air Astana Group—which also includes the low-cost carrier (LCC) FlyArystan—has reached 64 aircraft. The A321neo is the second of five aircraft the group is scheduled to take delivery of this year.

The delivery of the Boeing 787-9 wide-body aircraft, which Air Astana will deploy on its long-haul routes, is expected in December. There is also a possibility that two aircraft of this type will be delivered by the end of the year.
